Instructions for Windows and macOS Users

This program is a free, open-source hobby project.
Because it is not officially certified with expensive commercial developer certificates,
your operating system will likely show a security warning when you try to run it for the first time.
If you trust this software and want to install it,
please follow these simple steps to bypass the warning:

For Windows Users (SmartScreen Warning)

When you launch the installer or the .exe file,
Windows SmartScreen may show a blue window saying "Windows protected your PC".

  1. Click on the "More info" link inside the text.
  2. A new button labeled "Run anyway" will appear at the bottom.
  3. Click "Run anyway" to start the program.

(Windows will remember this choice and won't ask you again for this version).

For macOS Users (Gatekeeper Warning)

When you first open the .app from your Applications folder,
macOS may show a message saying "cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified".

  1. Open your Applications folder in Finder.
  2. Right-click (or hold Control and click) on the application icon.
  3. Select Open from the context menu.
  4. A new dialog box will appear. Click the Open button to confirm.

(macOS will now save an exception for this app, and you can double-click to open it normally in the future).
